This video documents Stephen Gjertson, former student, and teacher at Richard Lack’s studio-school, Atelier Lack, presenting Mr. Lack with the first Founder’s Award from the American Society of Portrait Artists (ASOPA). The video was filmed in 1999, in Mr. Lack’s Glenn Lake, Minnesota home and studio. Subsequently, it was shown at an American Society of Portrait Artists weekend event in Savannah, Georgia, on April 15th and 16th, 1999.
The video recording was carried out by Mr. Lack’s son, Michael.
