Skill-Based Art: A Learning Resource for Art Students & Artist-Teachers (SBA)™ is run solely by founder and director, Emilio Longo.
Emilio is a full-time high school Visual Arts teacher who carries out the work behind the scenes which includes research for all essays, written and video interviews and podcasts, as well as recording the artists’ demonstrations and carrying out the necessary post-production edits before the content is published and made available on our website to the public, free of charge.
Presently, we have limited access to audio-visual and editing equipment to record and produce our content which is causing us limitations in fulfilling our mission. We have calculated the total cost of this equipment and it is currently outside our budget. As such, we are looking for patrons who believe in our vision of providing visual arts education by restoring a high level of visual literacy through skill-based visual arts training which is coupled with a thorough grounding in art history, philosophy and theology.
Patrons will be recognised for their support through the publication of their name and/or company on the content we release. (As we are not registered as a charity, tax-deductible receipts cannot be given to patrons at this time).
The needed equipment includes:
- Video cameras and lenses
- Microphones
- Tripods
- Gimbals
- Studio lighting
- Computers for video editing
- Solid State Drives (SSD)
- A team of videographers and video editors
If you would like to support our mission by making a donation toward our purchasing of the necessary audio-visual equipment listed above, please view the link below.
