In this video, Emilio Longo has conversations with some of the painters in attendance at Ben Winspear’s monthly paintout. Ben is a Melbourne-based Australian tonal realist painter and popular teacher who holds un-tutored en plein air paintouts every month in various locations around Melbourne. The paintouts are organised by Ben in effort to foster camaraderie amongst artists where they can share ideas and learn more from each other about different processes of working en plein air.
The conversations cover talking with Ben himself to get more background information on the paintouts and how people who are interested can attend. Additional conversations with some of the painters in attendance are featured whereby they share what they are working on, as well as provide some insights into their painting practice.
