In this video, Emilio Longo documents Australian Realist painter, Andrew Bonneau’s solo exhibition titled, Theatrum Imaginum, which was showing at Lennox St. Gallery in Richmond, Melbourne, between 16 September – 10 October, 2026. The drawings and paintings featured in this exhibition are painstakingly composed based on imaginative interior spaces that act as theatres inspired by the Renaissance. Each of the interiors reference Greco-Roman architecture which contain figures from Greek mythology and Hinduism, creating a rich fusion of east and western traditions. The documentation includes footage of each drawing and painting featured in the exhibition, as well as the handmade props that were used as references. Also, features is a talk given by the artist and a conversation with him in which he explains his inspiration behind the collection of works.
