Topics covered range from, Paul's progression from being a young art student in the 1960s searching for answers to the obsolesence of academic and impressionist training in American art institutions, to developing the capacity to converse with the great masters of the past through receiving time-tested training in both, academic drawing and impressionist optics via R.H. Ives Gammell, his commitment to maintaining the tradition through finding Ingbretson Studio of Drawing and Painting, as well as the place that painting occupies in one's coming of age.
